2022-2023 Winter Vancouver VK Power Rankings

How the Power Rankings Work

Below is a run down on how you can earn power ranking points during the series.

Bonus for Every VK Attempt

Every time you run a VK course you will receive a power ranking bonus. You will receive this bonus even if you went off course, or potentially didn't finish the course due to some circumstance (always safety first!). The point allocation is as follows:
  • VK1 Mini-Burn: Uphill or Downhill only 75pts. Uphill & Downhill 150pts
  • VK2 Mini-Pump: Uphill or Downhill only 75pts. Uphill & Downhill 150pts
  • VK3 Snowman: Uphill or Downhill only 150pts. Uphill & Downhill 300pts
  • VK4 Frostbite: Uphill or Downhill only 200pts. Uphill & Downhill 400pts
  • VK5 Avalanche: Uphill or Downhill only 400pts. Uphill & Downhill 800pts

Each New Course Run

Every time you run a new course you haven't run before you receive a power ranking bonus of 50pts. Applies for each option (Uphill, Combined and Downhill) for every course.

Bonus for Every All-Time Course Record Set

Every time you set a new course record you receive a points bonus of: 500pts. You retain your bonus even if someone else subsequently sets a new faster time in the future. This applies to each of the three options for all 5 courses (so there are 15 course records available).
