About the 2022 Climb to the Stratosphere VK Ultramarathon

The Climb to the Stratosphere VK Ultramarathon involves completing all 20 VK's in the series. By completing this challenge you will have climbed more elevation than the height of Mt Everest from Sea Level twice, and up into the height of the stratosphere (twice as high as commerical jet liners fly at their highest).

The combined distance and elevation for this challenge is 85.95km* and 20000m ascent. (* not including descent distance after each VK).

The Winner will be the Male and Female who climb all 20 VK's in the fastest accumulated time. You can attempt a VK more than once if you want to improve your time, your fastest effort on each course will be used in the calculation.

You have the entire four months of the series to complete the VK ultramarathon - one course at a time.
